Children's Religious Education Workshops

COVID-19 UPDATE
Due to Covid-19, this year's Children's Religious Education classes will be offered online September-December. Once we get closer to the end of the year, we will reassess the feasibility of returning to in person classes in January.

Due to the possibility of in person classes for the second semester, the registration form will include questions only relevant to in person classes so that you do not have to re-register at a later time.

Since this semester will be not be offered the traditional way, we are reducing the registration cost to $20 per child with a maximum of $40 per family. We understand that some families may have financial strains due to Covid-19 and we can provide scholarships to ensure that each child may receive a religious education. Contact Lise Galle at family@stlawrencefairhope.com to request a scholarship.

Classes will be offered online until December

St. Lawrence's CREW (Children’s Religious Education Workshops) provides students in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade with rich, multi-sensory experiences to grow in love and knowledge of God through the Catholic Tradition. CREW covers the Four Pillars of the Catechism: Creed, Sacraments, Moral Life, and Prayer.  Kindergarten, First Grade, Sacraments Class (all second graders and older students who have not received First Communion), and Fifth Grade remain self-contained due to age and sacramental need, while students in Third and Fourth Grade rotate between different workshops. Each class is committed to teaching the students the gospel message using crafts, readings, videos and activities to connect the students to the Sunday gospel reading and introduce them to the love of God through our shared Catholic faith.
